| A new year begins fresh glowing your faces! The school re-opens with much enthusiasm as along with Rector, Rev.Fr Godfrey D'Souza, Principal Rev Fr.Crispino D'Souza,administrator,Administrator Rev.Fr, Edwin Colaco and Bro.Roshan with Supervisor of Secondary Section Mrs Vishya. A Grand welcome was given to our new Director of Prafulta and Bal Prafulta Fr Barnarbe D'Souza.St Dominic Savio welcomes then with affection at the Inaugural Assembly. The Secondary section is where the trial is awaited with values and morals towards the building of a social base of their life. Our teachers play a significant role to build the personality and as you can see examples of the child prodigy. In Dominic Savio the physical aspect too has been attended to as the students are trained in yoga, scout, meditation, health and education. One of the milestones in recent times is to focus on Audio-Visual education. Teachers use the medium of computer to help students understand in simple manner. The school excels in both extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. Such excellence and the rest of overall sound results were the fruit of the service with due hand –holding by Rev. Fr. Rector, Fr. Godfrey D’souza, Rev. Fr. Principal, Fr. Crispino D’Souza, Supervisor Ms. Vidya, Teachers, the non - teaching staff and the students and of course the parents. The current Principal Rev. Fr. Crispino D’souza is confident that the St. Dominic Savio High School is committed to walk on the path of progress continuously that is has in academic and extra-curricular spheres! |

This is the first year (2009 – 2010) our students took part in the National Talent Search Exam, Out of 12 students, 11 students have passed in NTS Exam. Maharashtra State Board Scholarship Exam for 7th Std. Students (2009 – 2010): Out of 30 students appeared for the State Board 7th Std. Scholarship Exam, the four boys stood as rank holder. |

Teacher’s Training Programme was organized by Rev. Fr. Rector, Fr. Godfrey D’Souza and Fr. Godfrey D’Sa – Video clippings were shown from a movie based on Helen Keller’s Teacher. The Highlight is the role of transformation of students by the Teacher. |

The very significant move of this year is networking of 4 schools which has common curriculum, syllabus, faculty meeting was held at Matunga with all schools faculty about the planning of syllabus. |

| The school re-opens on June 14th with much enthusiasm as long with Rector, Rev. Fr. Godfrey D’Souza, Principal Fr. Crispino D’Souza, Bro. Brendon and new Administrator, Rev. Fr. Edwin Colaco and new Bro. Roshan and the Supervisor of secondary Section Ms. Vidya. Dominic Savio welcomes them with warm affection at the Inaugural Assembly. The theme for Inaugural Assembly was “Care for Creation” organized by Fr. Principal and Ms. Vidya. Fr. Rector congratulated Fr. Principal for the renovation of new computer lab that was a dream come true! Rev. Fr. Rector, Gr. Godfrey D’Souza inaugurated the House System with his address to the Assembly. Ties were presented to the Captain & Vice – Captain by Fr. Rector and to Prefects and Vice Prefects by Fr. Principal. The High Light of the House System has “Tree plantation” planting saplings. Care for creation is highlighted. On the Feast day of Dominic Savio, Mass & Prayer Service were well conducted by Fr. Rector & Fr. Principal. In Prayer service Bhajans were sung. |

Special care is taken for students having learning disabilities. Remedial classes are started for slow learners.
