A year passed by in the annals of our school – a year of hard work, of growth, of innovations and success. I thank God for all his blessings in this past year. I also extend my sincere thanks to the Educative Community of the school, the Management, the Staff, the Students and the Parents for working towards realizing the goal of a complete, All- round, integral education, which is the hall mark of Don Bosco Institution. An institution, which believes the system, understands the child, with kindness & respect to change the most mischievous one into wonderful and brilliant person.


Only knowledge is not enough, but the need of the hour is to develop skills to enhance leadership qualities and effective communication. It was also necessary to develop sports culture for the overall growth of the students. The school has raised its standard in matters pertaining to discipline, studies and games with the aid of the refurbished basketball court with the help of NBA, the e-learning facilities with well equipped class rooms, and the spacious computer room which was possible due to the co-operation of the staff, students and most important the parents. The campus always beams with numerous activities beginning from the regular school in the morning to the Open school in afternoon, evening classes, basketball practice etc.
 
The school is fortunate to have Prafulta in the campus, which is well equipped with trained psychologists and educators. Special care would be taken of students having learning disabilities and significance would be given to the priorities of the school that evolved from the name itself – Discipline, studies and sports.
 
It is said, ‘ If you are planning for a year, sow rice; if you are planning for a decade, plant trees’ if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people’. Indeed, one can even say that the quality of education will determine the destiny of the nation.
 
Our beloved founder and father DON BOSCO was a man who not only seized every opportunity that came his way, but also worked hard and demanded the best from himself at every stage of his life.  He was known to often say, “With work we will succeed in overcoming anyone and anything.”  My dear boys; demand the best from yourself.  A success will be ours not just because of hard work, but more importantly because we give it our best work.
